AI doesn't replace the value of an EA. It creates more opportunities to apply it.

Why it matters

Most EAs learned the job on the job.

There's no standard for the role. So the best work you do is often the work nobody sees.

You manage priorities, filter what reaches your executive and make calls long before decisions land on their desk. That's the work of a strategic partner. But without a standard, it's easy to be seen as support.

And a webinar here and a few AI tips there won't change how your executive sees you.

Who this is for

For EAs who take their career seriously

It's for you if

  • You're an EA, PA, executive coordinator or office manager who supports an executive
  • You've done the job for years, and you want something to show for it
  • You want to be seen as a strategic partner, not support
  • You want to learn how the best EAs use AI in their role
  • You'd like a credential your employer can see

It's not for you if

  • You don't support an executive in your role
  • You only want a one-off webinar or a few AI tips

You don't need a prior qualification. Experience in the role is what counts.

Meet Amanda Vinci

Amanda started as an EA and worked her way up to supporting senior executives. She knows the role from the inside, including how much of the best work goes unseen.

She founded The EA Institute in 2017 to raise the standard for the profession, and to change how the role is seen, valued and respected. EAs are strategic partners with judgment and influence. The certification gives them the standard, and the recognition, to match.

Amanda is an accredited coach and keynote speaker, a Woman of Influence for 2026, and the founder of the APAC Admin Awards.

Make the case to your manager

Many employers fund the certification as professional development. Most managers see the value quickly, because they get as much out of it as you do.

On your consultation, Deb or Cherene will help you put the case together, with the program outline and the next intake dates to take to your manager.

Paying for it yourself? Payment options are available, and work-related study may be tax deductible. Check with your accountant.

What your executive gets

  • An EA working to a clear, high standard for the role
  • Fewer things missed, and better calls made before they reach their desk
  • An EA who knows how to use Copilot and AI tools well, and keeps up as they change
  • A stronger partner to lean on, who is invested in staying
